Fret Zeppelin is now live on Kickstarter!
Visit the Fret Zeppelin Kickstarter page to support this amazing project
We had the privilege of attending the launch party for Fret Zeppelin's Kickstarter campaign over the weekend and had a great time!
For our fans out there who agree this device is super cool, why not back the Kickstarter project with a donation of as little as $5?
A donation of $199 or more will land you a Fret Zeppelin of your very own before it hits shelves, estimated to deliver this October.
Thanks for having us, Fret Zeppelin!
That's a wrap, thank you Fret Zeppelin!
Here we are on the set to film a testimonials segment for our friends at Fret Zeppelin. We gotta say, this device is super clever and very cool. Fret Zeppelin teaches guitar in a whole new way.
Lights all the way up the neck illuminate to show newbies exactly how to play chords, scales and even songs. It also has a setting to flicker the lights at random, which makes it a cool accessory for the stage.
Because the LEDs are only about half as tall as the frets on a guitar, it doesn't interfere with playing or create any annoying buzz on the strings.
We can't wait for the launch of the Fret Zeppelin Kickstarter campaign and wish the savvy developers great success!
Freeform Radio, local bands pay tribute to David Bowie
Playing guitar while wearing an eye patch is harder than it looks
What an amazing night! The David Bowie tribute show did not disappoint, if we do say so ourselves. It was a packed house, and all the bands looked and sounded great.
Having a chance to dress the part worked out really well. By coincidence we had discussed doing a "Many Looks of David Bowie" band costume when we played Rock 'n' Roll Hotel last October.
We couldn't get our act together to have band costumes ready in time for that show, unfortunately. But this tribute concert gave us a second chance at greatness!
Many thanks to the fine folks who came out to enjoy a night of David Bowie music as well as to Mason Inn for hosting us.
Halloween Special: Donning costumes for our show at Rock 'n' Roll Hotel
Can you guess our costume?
We've never dressed up before in the spirit of Halloween. Let's just say some band members were more excited by the idea than others (ahem, Jared).
The band settled on a costume compromise, something that didn't involve face paint, masks, wigs, i.e., required minimal preparation and something that was easy enough to play in for a 30-minute set. :-)
